New E- tron quattro drive possible in Audi plug in crossover project

Audi’s new road shooting brake cross over concept, who combines the elements of its all road and e-tron hybrid types models, has debuted at the 2014 in North American Auto Show in Detroit.
Powered by a plug-in hybrid drive that the car maker says makes a new form of quattro drive possible – e-tron quattro – the show car delivers 408ps of system power and system torque is 650Nm, which is able to accelerate from 0-100km/h in 4.6 seconds only and reach an electronically top speed of 250km/h. Fuel consumption is measured at only 1.9 liters/100k m (149mpg), which equates to CO2 emissions of 45g/km approximately and a total driving range of up to 822km is achievable.
"The show car combines highly efficient e-tron quattro technology that produces 300 kW of power  consumes 1.9 liters/100 km of fuel and cutting edge electronic applications and Dr Hacken berg told to  board of brand Audi and technical development of audi brand. We are offering very concrete r future in this new car."
Alone, the transverse mounted  four cylinder 2.0 and TFSI engine inside Audi all road shooting brake delivers 292 ps of power and generates 380 Nm of torque. In part load, indirect injection supplements direct gasoline injection to improve fuel economy, while the exhaust manifold placed or add in between the cylinder head is said to enable high-performance thermal management. The 2.0 TFSI  operates with a disc-shaped  motor which is electric with clutch , the electric motor outputs 40kW of power and  torque of 270nm.

A second electric motor, which is separate from this drive and that is placed to the rear axle. It supplies propulsive power to car parts at low and moderate vehicle speeds with maximum power of 85 kW . , it can be operated in tandem with the motor and engine at the front axle if the hybrid management system decides that all-wheel drive makes sense and this feature essentially makes the Audi all road shooting brake an e-tron quattro.
Located just forward of the rear axle is a lithium-ion battery that consists of eight modules.and  the liquid  battery has an energy capacity of 8.8kWh,means liquid cooled battery, which is enough for 50km of all  electric driving car. An Audi wall box which is present in audi car is used for stationary charging; it can operate with different voltages and plug connector types and help to energy transfer in car.
Drive select management offers three driving modes in which  EV mode and Hybrid mode and Sport mode are present. In EV mode,  the front drive unit of car is in active, and the car electric motor at the rear axle can accelerate the two-door car to a higher speed of 130km. In Hybrid mode, the electric motor in car or in front acts as a generator which driven by the engine, it charges the battery of car , and extends the car's electric driving range. than last or third mode means in Sport mode, the electric motor at the rear axle of car works together with the 2.0 TFSI in a mode which is boost mode, in which both drive units output propulsive power.
Depending on the car driving situation, releasing the accelerator pedal of car can cause all drive units to be de-coupled, or it can result in recovery the energy of car by regenerating braking. The driver can use the Hold and Charge functions in the MMI user interface to increase storage of electric energy so that it can be used over the final miles to the destination.
